August 23 ’14.
Two more sketches from Therese in those chilly Arctic regions on her Canadian cruise. I’m sure the 11am champagne loosened up your sketching arm and we are delighted to see these from so far away.

August 8 ’14. From Therese away on her Canada adventure, has 2 sketches completed of the enormous Capilano suspension bridge, plus the fascinating totems from the same area. We saved you a chair at class today Therese!

July 30 ’14. Debra, a new sketcher sent this today. I’m so impressed.
Today it was my girlfriends birthday and we enjoyed a bush walk at America Bay. I took along my sketch pad and tools and gave my girlfriends a quick Erin Hill sketch class. They loved it and were happy with their 15 minute sketch & colour. I thought you might like to see.
Cheers Debra Gillis

From Atsuko, who’s very fond of using the crayon medium at the moment, with it’s texture and playful colour.
Hi my teacher Erin,
Here is my sketch of last week. I quite like it although I also think It’s a bit too serious. At least I left much white.
I’ll probably try to use more crazy colours and more like illustration next time !

April 26 ’13. Erin this is my first proper sketch of the holiday. Have tried a few buildings but need to get my eye in. We visited a market in Madrid today and bought 250g of strawberries for .50 euro. They were wrapped in a cone of plain paper and we ate them with lunch at the cafe at the reina Sofia art gallery which has a lot of Spanish art including “Guernica” by Picasso.
Love Therese

So proud of my sketchers.

Jan 6 ’13. Just in from Helen. Sketched while having coffee at Armchair Collective in Mona Vale. A glorious homewares store where you can dream of ditching what you have at home and getting that ‘whatever’ you’ve got your eye on, while sipping coffee. Great sketch.

Jan ’13. Jenny has been in Sri Lanka. Although she hadn’t known much about the place prior she said she was just so enthralled with everything….culture, art, architecture, cave paintings 2000 years old. This is a market roadside stall which caught her attention.

January ’13. Jan is a very enthusiastic sketcher and has been at Palm Beach with the family and new granddaughter during Christmas. I’m thrilled she’s had time to sketch, and has found some delightful boatshed cafes.

Robbie. Fairy Bower Pool towards Shelley Bch.

Robbie. Love Shack in the bush.

Robbie. Hawkesbury River.
Dec 30 ’12. Robbie has been travelling a bit lately and I love how these images pop up on my phone just any time. This is a girl who has difficulty holding a pen due to a muscle issues, so we have a laugh about her being ‘Master of the Wobbly Line technique. Her sketches are an absolute delight.

Katherine. Hibiscus in Bowral.

Katherine. NYE Rose
Dec 31 ’12. Katherine is relatively new to sketching. She’s been attending Saturday classes and is totally addicted. I love seeing how confident she’s become about her own ability, and it’s showing in other parts of her life. Two sketches of blooms she’s very fond of.
