Sketching Exhibitions 2016

ErinHill Sketching Exhibitions at Bella Vista Gallery & Cafe. 2016

Ever since our very successful 2014 Student exhibition, Bella Vista Cafe & Gallery has become our exhibition space.  This gives a great opportunity to sketchers who may never have a chance to show the world what they do in their little sketchbooks.

We show prints from our original sketches and keep the prices very realistic. Framed works are available for sale straight off the walls. No waiting for customers. To show  what we do is an exciting opportunity for us, and it does share the idea that YES everybody can learn to sketch, and to have a wonderful record of your sketch adventures which are there forever.

We organise a new show every few weeks ranging from Students, past and present,  Group and individual Tutor Exhibitions. The cafe customers love the work, and the staff equally engage with the decorative changing shows.

Program for 2016

Judy Salleh. May and June

Presenting Ms Judy Sallah. One of our senior and very popular Travel Sketch tutors. Judy is a painter, illustrator and sketcher with many years of experience.  She tells me there’ll be selected prints and originals and I know you’ll be very excited about this.

Graduates Exhibition. July

Past students will have an opportunity to exhibit prints of their sketches in our Graduates show. Many of our students have taken their sketching to many other levels. Here is a chance to see where they’ve travelled and what direction their work has taken

Combined Tutors Exhibition. August and September

This will be a very exciting show. Our tutors and assistant tutors will each show selected works of their own. Sketches from their travels and home base. Our tutors are based in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Tokyo.

Erin Hill. October and November

I will be showing a selection of sketches as I take Workshops and Sketch Classes in the South of France in June, July and August. I can’t wait to show you the French series. Who knows. Might be a bit of Greek Isles in there too.

Student Exhibition. December and January

Our grand finale for the year. The annual Christmas Student Exhibition. Always an exciting  Christmas event, with everybody from Term 4 invited to exhibit and attend the opening with some fantastic work by you all.
