Some fun sketches resulted from all the excellent locations you’ve traveled to for Week 3.
From Narrabeen Lagoon to Centennial Park and Wentworth Falls Lake, we found tranquility among the thriving wildlife.
Ducks and ducklings, geese, swans, pigeons, magpies, ibis, gulls, parrots and pelicans, All performed brilliantly.
All of these were scattered across our pages using many differing techniques to get a variety of looks.
Intro classes had a beach day, starting with a 3 colour still life, for some, swapping hands! Then a simple explanation of composition which is so vital in creating a pleasing sketch. We continue to talk focus and composition every week.
Where do we focus? How do I lead my eye up to where I want to look.
What’s important and what’s not?
We selected colours which would make sand and sea come to life and keep the sketch simple.
Gold Star everyone.
