Celebrations in the Studio

Christmas in the Studio

December 17, 2012 by Erin Hill Sketching

We’ve had a really wonderful year. We began with Travel Sketch classes, and now have Sketch&French, Sketch your Cake, and Sketcher Fitness. We also welcomed Adeline’s Téte å Tétes Students to share our end of year celebrations. Everyone who could joined us on Friday evening December 14. Take a look and see the fun and laughs we had……… So as you can see we had a whale of a time. Adeline did all the French food for the evening which together with […]

The Real French Sketches

December 13, 2012 by Erin Hill Sketching

Thank you to all those very kind people who’ve seen my sketches in ‘French Living‘ magazine and let me know they love my work. I’m back in Trausse, South of France in May 2014, so there will be a lot more sketches to add! People are very keen to see the French sketches, so I’ve organised them to be available in 2 sizes of prints. They are unmounted so are easy to post and have framed at your leisure. Thanks […]

Double page Sketch Spread in French Living Magazine

December 11, 2012 by Erin Hill Sketching

This is soooooooooo exciting. Claire Chaffey the editor of French Living magazine had asked me for a few of my French sketches – to scatter through the magazine. This is a BIG scatter – right across 2 pages. Cést Magnifique.  I’ve had wonderful response to these sketches, so I’ve looked at doing a print series. Prints now available.  Merci beaucoup. The Summer issue is out. It’s not snowing here in Australia, but might be in France – which is the […]

Thurs Nov 15. Croissants, baguettes and coffee

Croissants & Jacarandas

November 17, 2012 by Erin Hill Sketching

Sketching this week. Nov 15,16,17. This week seems to have a French flavour to it.   Having had our very successful Sketch&French class on Tuesday somehow a little of that has carried on through the week…………… We had the white setting with croissant and gardenia on one table and the more contemporary blue setting with baguette on the other.  Our sketches of the 2 settings look very edible, and definitely catch the mood of the moment. While the Jacarandas are […]

French Living – a new mag for Francophiles

October 19, 2012 by Erin Hill Sketching

I recently discovered FRENCH LIVING magazine through Marilyn & Steve in South of France. It’s quite new so I decided to subscribe. Just loved my first issue as I think many of you will. If you travel there, spend time there, own property there, or plan to – then this is a great read. Some of us travel there quite often and plan to spend more and more time in France, so it feels like a local newspaper with that […]
