What a glorious Sydney Sunday we woke to. Eight enthusiast sketchers arrived at the Studio right on 10am, ready to meet each other and enjoy a tea or coffee. Most people have had little sketching experience and it’s something about the freedom of it, plus the ‘only pleasing yourself’ approach which appeals. For Week 2 New Sketchers the class was about leaving whites, colour techniques and how to compose a sketch. Whites on top. Darks in behind. Sketching Week 4. Gnomes & Homes. .

A very cheerful couple of gnomes with their gardening tools graced our tables this week.  Observing their chunky little shapes and chipmunk cheeks proved trickier than one thought.
