Anybody at all can join one of our 3 hr learn to Sketch Workshops. Come along once or become a regular. We go to a different location around the Languedoc several times a week. Sketch kit provided for the day, and sketchbook available for purchase on the first day.

Canal to Coast Sketching Holiday
Join us for 4 days of fabulous sketching scenes from the Languedoc, both inland along the Midi Canal and on the Mediterranean coast. Whether an absolute beginner or already a sketcher you’ll have a sketchbook full of fun memories. All details above.

Sketch&Cook Classes
With ‘Cooking by the Canal du Midi’ with Heather and David Hayes. Just a few dates available. We start with an intro to what we’ll be cooking that day, and along the way we’ll create our own illustrated recipe. Lunch will be served which you help create, and have a memory forever of the day in your sketchbook. Sketch kit provided.

If you don’t have your own sketch kit we will supply enough to get you sketching and adding colour. Available for purchase.
If you are within 45 mins of Narbonne we can begin the tour in your village.
For more than 2 people you will need your own car.
We start with first steps in sketching, then on location where we’ll sketch a subject typical of the area, all carefully guided by your tutor.
Annette who is passionate about the French culture and countryside, will take us to some lesser known towns and villages of Languedoc. You will visit ‘off the beaten track’ locations full of history and character; plus discovering local foods and wines will be high on the menu too.
Events with Annette will include sketch stops in characterful cafes, castles and wineries, plus the chance to enjoy plenty of laughs and some fabulous French cuisine along the way!

Our foundation SKETCHING Workshops with Annette, (our France director and Languedoc tutor) at ErinHill Sketch School are booking now.
For New Sketchers, we teach you to sketch – or Travel Sketch as we call it. Rather than traditional drawing, illustration or painting, a sketch is an impression. Those first spontaneous lines as you see them in the time you have. There’s no right or wrong. Anyone can do it. You are sketching within an hour.
Erin has a unique teaching system which will get you sketching a simple impression within a very short time. All our tutors are fully qualified in the EHS system so you can expect the same high quality experience in any of our schools.
Travel Sketching means being on the move. That means time can be limited. We teach you to sketch a quick impression of the world around you, at home or on the move. You may have only a few minutes but it’s enough time to get some quick shapes down.
Leave your fears at the door. We will show you step by step how to go about it. Before long you will seeing the world in a new way. Once you’ve completed our ‘new’ Classes or Workshops we expand your sketching skills and help you to continue your sketch adventures.
